SSO trouble ...

I have several servers sharing an SSO jukebox configured with two fibre connections. One has the robotic arm and drive 1 The other has only drive 2.

What I am seeing is that if a backup is running on drive 1, any other pending backup will wait saying "Queued" until drive 1 frees up before using drive 2. Never the other way around. Does this have to do with the exclusive posession of the fibre channel by one device at a time?

In other words, when Server1 is writing to Tape1 via fiber link, does it make the robotic arm inaccessible to other devices? Moreover, if that's the case and I have SSO installed on all servers, can Server1 load a tape into Tape2 drive for Server2 to back up to?

Anyone have an idea about this? I think this scenario is pretty common, but it's nowhere to be found in Veritas documentation ...
