Scheduled backup job

I realize this has probably been addressed before but I'm unable to find a solution. Currently I have a backup job that starts on Saturday at 5:00 pm. Due to the length of the backup it can on run on Saturday at 5:00 pm. It is scheduled for once per week on Saturday at 5:00 pm. Due to my mistake another backup job was running on Saturday at 5:00 pm so this job did not run. It has a 15 minute window to start. I did not catch this mistake until Monday morning. The other backup job finished 7:00 am on monday. although disappointed I understood why my weekly backup did not run. We I reviewed the system on tuesday morning I found the Saturday 5:00 pm backup had started on Monday at 5:00 pm. I'm not sure why and how can i prevent this from happing again. Sorry to be long but I want the job to start on saturday at 5:00 and if it can't then it so re-schedule itself for the following saturday at 5:00

OK, I've read these before and I don't think they answer my question, if they do I'm missing it.

the window is 5:00 pm until 5:15 pm. I understand why it did not run on Saturday per the schedule. that is fine.

What I'm trying to understand is why it starting running on Monday at 5:00 pm. I did not ask it to and I did not expect it to. this was the surprise. I expected it to run the next saturday at 5:00 pm.

I'm trying to find out why it started on Monday and what I so do to prevent that from happing and keep it on it's normal schedule of Saturday at 5:00 pm.

Also is the job configured to run only on one device?

Hi,

-- Are there any errors in event log?

-- From the Backup job properties > schedule, click on "Edit schedule details" and check the settings. Click on "View schedule summary" and verify the schedule time.

-- Please also let us know what all option are configured under "Edit Schedule Details". e.g "Restart Time Interval" , "Run Day Options".

-- Create a fresh job & observe the changes in schedule summary!
