Seagate Python Initialization Failure

Ron_Braun
Not applicable
I have a Seagate Python STDL62401LW autoloader running on a Compaq ML310 Server/ Small Business Server 2K. The only way I can prform a good backup is to stop all services, cycle power on the tape drive and start all services again. When that backup completes and I replace the tapes in the magazine for the next days job, I have to cycle power and services again. This is getting very frustrating PLEASE HELP someone?????

Thanx in advance -Ron

Hello,

Please check whether the device is "tested" in the list below, if yes then please install latest veritas drivers from the link below:

HCL for robotic libraries:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/271383

HCL for stand alone:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/271382

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 - Device Driver Installer (20050115) - Includes Tape Driver Release (20041231) and Robotic Library Release (45) (Intel Only) http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273853.htm

If not tested then please install latest manufacturers and then verify the result.

Thanks,
