Select tape to backup to

I am using v10.0 with an auto-load drive that holds 6 tapes. I want to make the backup use tape 1 and none of the others. What is the easiest way to do this?

I would create two, or more, partitions and only put the tape you want to use in one of the partitions:

Devices tab > Right-click on library > "Configure Partitions...

Remember, when you create your backup job, make sure and point that job to the partition where your tape is located. Hope this helps!
