Hi,

I put backup files from servers on a server and then send them to tape
Each server has 2 NICs, one is DHCP enabled 100Mbps, second is gigabit switch only 192.168.0.XXX

Now when i use the Remote\Selections\Windows Network\
I can use Attach as and put in a username\password for the server and it connects and backs it up fine. Problem: Its the 100mbps LAN.

When i go in User Selections, add the 192.168.0.XXX servers, it adds them fine, I can see Admin Shares C$,D$ so its connecting right? Problem: When i use this and do a backup, I get a Access denied, Cannot attach to \\192.168.0.1\C$, There is no Attach as option for User selections so im guessing its having a problem trying to login from the backup job??

Any ideas?
Thanks

In the Job description, you should see an option for "use Specified network"

Define your non-routable network there, and BackupExec should use the GB network.

It's been a while, but I think this also works:
You can manually modify the LMHOSTS file and create an entry for the servers on the GB network

ServerA_GB 192.168.xx.xx
ServerB_GB 192.168.yy.yy

then connect via the *_GB names
