I encountered several problems with backup exec 11d on a server.
At a time Backup Exec stopped working. The job monitor showed "ready;no media servers are available".
I've tried to several suggestions found on these forums :
- Checking removable storage service
- Installed all updates
- completely re-installed Backup Exec
but nothing worked. The strange thing I noticed is that the "Backup Exec Device & Media Service" has problems stopping in a normal timing (several minutes)
The other thing is :
How can I disable automatic liveupdate? It is disabled in the options in Backup Exec, but still downloads and installs the updates. I suppose it is because the is also a Symantec AV Enterprise 10.7.700 and Symantec AV for Exchange 6.0 on that server.
