Shadow?Copy?Components Backup Failures

What can be done to stop these kind of failures..? I'm running a Dell 2650 with a Dell PV132T Unit attached, the OS is W2003 The target media server is also using W2003...What can I do to resolve the shadow copy components errors.

The target media server is a live production server and I'm trying to avoid taking this out of service to run a CHKDSK Etc...Are there any other options I could try to resolve this..?

Hi,

It would be better if you could mention the exact error in the post,

Check whether you are getting any VSS errors in event log..

Try a backup with NTBACKUP.

After the job has failed immediately run the command "VSSADMIN LIST WRITERS" on the server from which the data is being backed up.

Check the status of the writers in the results shown..
