Share point 2010 GTR restoration Fail with BAckup Exec 2010R3Rev 5204 SP2

Hi All,

Is any one help me out in restoration of Share Point 2010 at GRT Level with Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP2.

Problem Facing We are not be able to restore Share Point 2010 at GRT level. Is any one faceing such issue with BAckup Exec 2010 R3 SP2

We had tried lots of option but no luck.

Hi,

Are you getting any errors while restoring or you are unable to even see the GRT restore selections?

Was your backup successful? 

Also a bit more information about your environment would be of great help.

Thanks for the reply.

Backup was successfull and at the time of Restoration we are able to see all the contens at GRT leve but restoration failed.

Finally we reolved the issue after using the below points

To restore the SharePoint 2010 SP1 at GRT level using Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R3 we need to follow the below steps:

1.       Download the Hot Fix for Backup Exec 2010 R3 Rev 5204 from the below link

2.       Copy to Backup Exec Server.

3.       Take the Backup of Data and Catalog Folder.

4.       Run the downloaded Hotfix on Backup Server

5.       Restart the Backup Server.

6.       Install the SharePoint agent from BE server to SharePoint server.

7.       Configure the Backup Policy.

8.       Take the full Backup of SharePoint 2010 SP1.

9.       Restore the SharePoint at GRT level
