I keep getting this error everytime I open up Backup exec:
 
 
native=0xffffffff source=microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server hr=0x80040e31 Timeout Expired
 
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Heres another area of the forum they were dealing with the same issue, these guys here have been seeing this issue since atleast may.  Maybe they have some ideas:
