Sony StorStation model AITe200 does not see tape

Hello,

We are running BackupExec 9.1 and had to replace our tape drive.  We installed a Sony StorStation model AITe200.  The BE app sees the device, however we cannot see inserted media.  Any suggestions?

Hey thanks for the reply.

This is where I am at now.

I updated the drivers with the Veritas drivers, but the drivers do not "hold".  After a reboot, the drivers fall back to the Sony drivers.  When I open BE, I can see the new drive.  I then submit a small job to test and the job errors out with the drive off-line.

I have been stuck here for about 1 day.  I cannot find any new information to try.  I went through the steps of disabling the drive in the config settings within BE, then deleting the drive and restarting.  This will bring the drive back to BE, only to error out again when I submit a test.

Any thoughts?

have you tried running a Database Repair on the BackupExec database?
