Sophos event log & Shadow copy failure

On 4 servers I receive the following error when backing up shadow copy components:

A failure occurred reading an object.

WARNING: "Shadow?Copy?Components\System?Service\Event Logs\Event Logs" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.
Database or database element is corrupt
---------------------------------------------

I notice that on all of these systems sophos has linked in its own .evt file which happens to be on a different volume to the standard system event logs.

I cannot find a documented procedure to resolve this on the Sophos or Veritas sites.

Does anyone know if simply relocating the log is enough?

You may try following:

1. Backup only Shadow copy component.

2. Reinstall the Remote agent, refer following technote to install Remote agent however to uninstall Remote agent use Add remove programs.

Assuming the solution provided is correct. Also, there is no response from the customer within 2 days from the last reply by Veritas
