Hello,
I have Veritas Backup Exec 11d SP4 with a hardware DELL 110T - ULTRIUM-TD3 on a Windows 2003 SP2 with 4GB of RAM. I tell you the problem or doubt.
When it he begins the backup it goes to a speed of 6000 MB/min when it does backup of a remote server of a file of 50GB.
When it happens to the following server who is the one that has installed BackupExec that they are small files it goes to a speed of 1200 MB/min.
When comes to the server Exchange 2003 puts to 800MB/min and from there, always it goes to 600/700 MB/min and they are enough servers and computers with agents.
Some explanation exists of for that it can spend this and is not reasonable speed kept?. I have changed cable of network and swtich 3COM.
Thank you.

Are you doing Stores Level Exchange backups? are the GRT enabled?
or are you doing legacy Mailbox backups? (brick-level)

And Backup del Exchange 2003 is complete with qualified GRT.
This it is one or of the problems since it lowers the enough speed, worse from there slowed the whole process.
I have returned to change the cables into some servers but it continues equally. An example can be a file server only with XML of 1 to 30KB (350000 files), a barbarity is late.
Thank you
