Starting services (10D) on Win2k3 Box blue Screens

I've recently installed Back-up Exec 10D on a windows 2003 server. As soon as the installation was complete upon reboot the server Blue Screens. I entered through safe made and set the BU services to manual and everything runs fine. However, as soon as start to enable them again via the services applet the machine blue screens. I've already downloaded and installed the new MS Storpoint file, and it didn't help at all.

Hello Casey,

Do you have a Tape Device connected to this server?

If YES, try disabling the device from Device Manager and then verify if the issue persists.

If disabling the device resolves the issue, please enable the device and then either update the device drivers to the latest provided by Symantec (http://support.veritas.com/docs/284012) or install the latest drivers provided by the Manufacturer.

You could try patching Backup Exec with SP1 (http://support.veritas.com/docs/282818) and verify if the issue still persists.
