Suggested Backup Scenarios

I was wondering if Veritas (or anyone) has any suggested backup scenarios/schedules for SQL?

Right now we're doing full database backups on SQL at night, but I also want to impliment some log or incremental backups throughout the day, however I'm not sure if I wanna do logs, or database changes, or both? Is there some sort of 'recommended' series of backups you guys suggest?

However there is no set Procedure for taking backups, as it depends on each compan's needs for Backing up Data.
