Swapping USB Drives

Hi,

We have a client with three USB drives that they backup to and swap each day.

This is causing the removable drive to go offline.

I read a discussion thread on this forum that said the only way to get BE to bring the new drive online was to restart the BE services.

I have tried to create a batch file to do this but have been unable to find the right command to stop and start the services.

net stop servicename

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the service names.

Thanks,
Joe

For USB (and Firewire) drives, do NOT create standard Backup to Disk folders.

Instead create BackupToDisk on Removeable Media folders. Then use the Removable Media Wiard when you swap drives

Also you must assign each removable drive a unique drive letter and mount it at the same drive letter each time you mount it (Yeah I know , that sucks)
