On Sunday I take a full baseline backup and on the weekdays I first make an incremental backup and then push a full synthetic backup to tape. The jobs are created from the default policy with some minor alterations.
Mondays run went according to plan with an Successfull status at the end, but yesterdays run failed with these errors:
Job Completion Status
Job ended: den 18 oktober 2005 at 22:35:24
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000810b - Physical Volume Library Drive not found.
Final error category: Backup Device Errors

The link says to check tape drive drivers and I've done that. But there isn't any problem with the tape driver becuse after the synthetic job I have another job
I'm running Backup Exec 10.0 Rev 5520 with these updates:
Service Pack 1
Hot Fix 17
Hot Fix 15
Hot Fix 13
Event log show nothing except the job errors from Backup Exec.
The pattern seems to be that the first synthethic backup after a baseline backup is successfull, but every backup after that until the next baseline fails.
