Hi

We are using Veritas Backup Exec V10.1(d) for Windows server as following.

OS : Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SP4
VTBE version : V10.1(d) for Windows Servers with AOFO
The role of target server : Domain Controller.
Error message : Backup- \\Server_Name\System?State V-79-57344-65072 - The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set canceled.
Event log : No entry for Event log.

Notes. : we had changed the installation path for the Active Directory(D:\Winnt)

Whenever we try to backup the system state of the DC server, we got the same error.

I appreciate for any comments, workarounds and resolutions in advance.

Thanks,
Anthony

Hello,

Please see the technote to resolve the issue:

"A timeout occurred waiting for data from the agent during operation shutdown" or "The network connection to the Backup Exec Remote Agent has been lost. Check for network errors" (a00084f8 HEX or e00084f8 HEX) is reported during a backup operation.

Hi Deshmukh,

Thank you for the reply.

However my problem is not related to the remote agent or network connection issue as we are trying to backup the system state of the local backup server.
