System reboots during verification

I have 2 identical systems with identical tape drives, both backing up over 100GB.
Systems is running Win2003 server with latest updates.
Both are running BE 10d (10.1 rev 5629) with SP2 and Hotfixes 43 & 45.
One works fine with verification turned on.

The other causes system failure during verification. This reboots the system.
If verification is turned off, backup works fine.
This always happens about 20 minutes into verification of my largest drive.

How do I determine what is causing this? How do I stop it from causing system failure which leads to system rebooting? There is nothing in Event Viewer.

Hello,

To isolate the issue, maybe you could run a backup with verify activated to a backup to disk folder.

Please check out for any Event ID 5s, 7s, 9s, 11s, and 15s that may occur on system startup, or during backup.

Thanks!

I have checked all the event logs at the time of backup/reboot. Nothing there.

I will create the backup to disk with verify and let you know.

As suggested, I did a disk-to-folder backup of the G: drive. (Had to do it in 2 parts as I did not have sufficient disk space to do in all at once.)
Both parts worked with verify.
It seems only to reboot when verify with tape.
