Tape drives are shot, how do I backup [u][b]to[/b][/u] files instead?

Hi all.

My tape drives are shot and will be refurbished, but in the meantime I still want to backup critical systems (SystemState, Exchange, ACCPAC, etc.).

Can I backup to files/directories/shares? I can then use my large USB external drive to take them off-site or ftp them to a different location.

I have BackUpExec 8.5 on Windows 2000.

Any informtaion would be greatly appreciated.

B2D was intoduced in v8.6 (and was probably the reason that was a paid upgrade rather than a maint. upgrade)

Acording to this: http://www.msexchange.org/articles/MF020.html, I can use Windows Backup to backup and restore the Exchange database. The other stuff I can kick the users out and backup flat.
