Tapes made with Symantec Backup Exec 12 can be read with the current version of Backup Exec?

Does somebody know if tapes made with Symantec Backup Exec 12 can be read with the current version of Backup Exec?

Yes. They can be read. Just inventory and catalog them before doing a restore

...along with pkh's response, since they're probably going to contain data that's been purged from the BEDB, when you do the restore make sure the correct date range has been selected.
