The Backup Exec job engin e system service is not responding.

Hi!..

I have been using Backup Exec v9.1 rev 4691 on Windows Server 2003 SP 1 with LTO tape backup Powervault. When a scheduled job is supposed to start, the backup exec job engine service stops, and I got this error message :

“(Server: "xxx") (Job: "xxx-Differential") xxx-Different ial -- The job failed with the following error: The Backup Exec job engin e system service is not responding.”

And none of the backup jobs are completing.

I used to backup locally and also on the remote location. When I try manually backup on a single small file on the local disk, its running successfully. I have checked the tape device and it is working properly.

Anyone have an idea?….please need help…
