Tran Log Backup of BEDB

I am trying to backup the tran logs for BEDB, and am getting the error sqlmaint.exe failed . I've found that you will get this error if the database is in simple recovery mode instead of full, but BEDB is in full. Is there anything else I can do to backup the tran logs? Thanks.

I thought I would add, these were working up until Monday, and stopped during the middle of the day. Nothing in Backup Exec changed between when they were working and when they stopped.

The backup Exec database doe not need to be backed up since the database maintenance utility of backup Exec backs up the database.

Database maintenance performs the following:
- Optimize database size
- Delete expired data
- Save the contents of the database files
- Perform a database consistency check
