Unable to browse SQL Server database

I'm using Backup Exec 12.5 with all the latest patches, on SBS2008.  When I select Microsoft SQL Server "SBSMONITORING" for backup I get the following error: An error was encountered while attempting to browse the contents of Microsoft SQL Server "SBSMONITORING".  A network connection to the server could not be established.

SBSMonitoring is fully functional.  The problem started when I installed SQL Server 2008 and upgraded SBSMonitoring to the new version

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is SBSMonitoring running Win 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2?  If yes, then you would need to upgrade to BE 2010 R2.

The above issue has been seen with any of the new collations available with Microsoft SQL Server 2008. The update described in Microsoft KB article 954920 (see acknowledgements) resolves this issue.
http://support.veritas.com/docs/322959

also SQL 2008 R2 is not supported by BEWS 12.5

Thank you both for your responses.  Yes, I am using SQL 2008 R2 because a specific database we use requires it.  It looks like an upgrade to BEWS 2010 is in order.

Thanks for your help,
Robert

Remember you got to upgrade to BE 2010 R2, not BE 2010.
