Please can anyone help i am using veritas 9.1 all upto date with latest service packs and drivers, the problem that i am having is veritas not recognising my tape drive. I have a Sony AIT-2 Turbo which is supported by veritas HCL. Windows sees the device and i can use ntbackup, it just seems that veritas cannot find it.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

John

Run tapeinst.exe, select REMOVE all existing drivers.
Reboot.
Ensure the tape drive is installed and operational using Sony driver.
Run tapeinst.exe and select the option to keep the existing drivers. There is no need to use the buggy Veritas drivers.

Cycle BE services, and run the device setup wizard.
