Updating Veritas 10.0 to build 5520;

We currently run 10.0 5484 SP4 and when I check the online available updates from within Veritas it tells me there are none available.

How do I upgrade to 10.0 SP1 Build 5520 which might solve some of our problems.

Is 5520 the latest build or do I need to go to the version 10.0 D which has a higher build number yet.

It's confusing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Backup Exec version 10d(10.1) is the most recent version of the product.

You can upgrade to this as described below:

You may also refer to following technote which answers to the questions in this regard:

Please note that you will have to upgrade the remote agent versions accordingly.

Thank you, that was helpful info.

However it's still a bit confusing regarding the CPS, this is an additional feature that requires it's own license/serial number correct?

I can still upgrade our version 10.0 5484 to 10.1 (10d) without using the CPS is that correct?

CPS is an another software. For installing CPS you need different License.

Without using the CPS you can upgrade Backup exec version 10.0 5484 to 10.1 (10d).
