Updating Version 10 to Version 13

Hello @ all,

I´ve got a problem when I want to update version 10 to 13.

The situration is that I´ve already managed the first step, finishing updating version 10 to 11D. So far everything´s fine.

Now im trying to update version 11D to 13. the problem is, that this task isn´t working.There is a SQL 2000 express instance left.

This instance has to come from BE version 10 because there has never been a other software using SQL on this server.

When you look wether there is a uninstall feature in the Windows software menue you can´t find one.

anyone here has a idea how to solve this.

By the way: We got support but those guys seem not to be reachable for me :( .

1.First upgrade to SP 4 or 5 on 11d you have installed.

2.Install SQL Express sp 3 manually : http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH87111

(Either download from google or BE 13 setup )

3.Move 11d database from SQL 2000 to one you just installed above :

4. Run the 13 setup, once SQL is updated.

it worked perfectly.

I didn´t even know about the tool which is described in

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH37752 this article.

The only thing which was left was to manually remove the old sql 2000.
