Upgrade from 9.1 to Solve Issues?

My 9.1 environment is failing in that all the services crash when a backup job starts and trying to resize the backup job totally crashes the console with non-specific errros. I need to upgrade to 11d anyway, but now believe it will fail unless I get 9.1 working properly. Does any one have any input with regard to my situation?
Also, I have licenses, but no media. Where can I get the old 9.1 CDs to do a re-install?

You definitely should get the current problems resolved before you try to upgrade.

I know it's extreme, but you may want to consider a fresh install of 11 rather than an upgrade.
