VFF Open Failure + Exchange

Hi

I have upgraded a Windows 2008 with BE 12.5 to BE 2010. On this server I'm able to do GRT backup of my Exchange 2007 server.

In order to upgrade HW a have installed BE 2010 on a new 2008 R2 64bit server. When I try to backup the same Exchange server with GRT enabled I get:

V-79-57344-759 - Unable to complete the operation for the selected resource using the specified opti...



Backup of Exchange from the new server is fine without GRT enabled. Any ideas of what I'm missing?

Uninstall the remote agent from the Exchange server

 Remove the exchange license key from Backup Exec

 Reboot both servers

 Re-install Exchange license

 Push-install the Exchange agent

 Attempt a backup

-If the issue persists, please apply the latest rollup package for Microsoft VSS.

I compared settings on the old and new server. The old ajusted for best perfomance of Background Services and the new for Programs. Changed that in the new server.

Also checked AOFO: System - Use Microfsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider instead of Automatic.

After these setting I was able to run a GRT backup without errors. I'll check tomorrow if my scheduled jobs are succeeding.
