I have a client with a Windows 2000 server with SP4 and all roll-ups and patches, and after doing any backup job with 11d, the CPU usage gets so high that the server is rendered unusable and I have to reboot. Once the server reboots, all is ok until another backup job runs, then it happens all over again. I checked the event logs, and they must have been deleted, so I can't reference any errors.
Backup Exec 11d was uninstalled yesterday, and they want me to reinstall it but I am afraid this will happen again.
Has anyone heard of this happening? Is there a solution (short of going back to 10d)???
