What is the lastest service pack?

Hi all,

We're running on a Win 2K3 server with BEWS 9.1 rev 4691 and I'm confused as to which service pack is the most recent. When I go to the veritas website, it shows that the lastest service pack installed on our server, is service pack 3 ( be4691RSP3_278302 ). When I clicked on a link to list any available updates...nothing came up. When I searched this forum for a problem--" Error reported:
The semaphore timeout period has expired.", I found a post dated April of 2004 that pointed to a service pack 4 for this version. Here is the link: http://www.veritas.com/besupport/backup_exec_windows.html?location=PrdSelect

Would this still be applicable to me?
Thank you.

The only service pack availble is SP4, the others have been withdrawn

SP4 is here
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/279308.htm

See
http://forums.veritas.com/discussions/thread.jspa?threadID=55069&tstart=15
for a workaround to the "SP1 is required "problem

Thanks Ken, I'll try it out and if not successful, I'll post the results.

The VERITAS Update *utility* is not too smart... it only checks the value of two Registry entries:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\C896E102E88BEA14C864B3ABACCD6D7E\Patches\AllPatches

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\C896E102E88BEA14C864B3ABACCD6D7E\Patches\Patches

You've probably got a corrupt value in one of the two...

btw: Check out Simon's thread titled, "Here's how you can get SP3 or SP4 to install" <>. I tried it, and it works. Note: To make the VERITAS Update icon disappear from the system tray, I had to import all the Installer values back into the Registry AND modify the two REG_MULTI_SZ settings to include the SP4 GUID .

Thanks, the update to SP4 appears to have taken without a problem, but how can I tell? Where do I look? But this is another question and I'll post another tread for this.
