When will Exchange agent support AOFO together with RSG?

I am aware Backup Exec 10.x does not support SNAPSHOT (i.e. AOFO) backups in conjunction with using Exchange 2003 RSG restores. This after reading the Administrator's Guide and http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/275586.htm. Currently the only workaround I know about is to create seperate Exchange backup jobs with the AOFO disabled. This is not ideal, particularly for our large customers using dozens of policy driven backup jobs. I have the following questions?

1) If/When will the Exchange agent officialy support this scenario? (e.g. Is it planned for the next major release of BEX?)

2) Could there not be another workaround (in the meantime) to disable using the AOFO just for exchange store backups IN EXISTING BACKUP JOBS? Perhaps a registry hack or an update that would allow more granular control over using the AOFO (e.g. at the server and/or resource level; and not just at the job-level)

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello Craig,

- We cannot say. You can however log an enhancement request on the Website

- We do not recomment to take online Databse Backups with the help of AOFO:
What is the intended use of the Open File Option and the Advanced Open File Option?
http://support.veritas.com/docs/263784

Hope that helps.
