XP Firewall and Remote Agent

I run BE 9.1 on an Windows XP machine. When the firewall is disabled, backup within the network is no problem, but when my firewall is active, there is the following error:
"Communications failure has occurred between job engine and the remote agent". I tried to configure the firewall by adding beremote to the exceptions of the firewall. But still the same mistake. Anyone any idea? would be very helpfull. Thanks in advance, flinn.

Adding just the job engine and remote agent will not help as you have the complete install on the Xp machine , Backup exec requires a number of other ports to be opened on the firewall to enable backups to run.

What you will need to do is open ports on the Windows firewall and specify those ports in the backup exec tools>options>network and enable the dynamic port range and put in ports that you opened on the XP firewall.

The following Tn will help

Just as a suggestion it would be easier to just disable the Xp firewall if you have an external firewall in the network.
