I performed a monthly server reboot. This month I rebooted with no security updates from Microsoft except the Malicious removal tool. After I rebooted, Backup Exec 9.1 Rev 4691 software indicated the tape drive was offline. I stopped and restarted the service, to no avail. I checked Device Manager and noticed "tape drive" was not an option. I shutdown the server then reseated the scsi card. When I brought the server back online, everything seemed to be functioning correctly. This was Friday afternoon. I checked my backup on Sunday and the backup did not run, the error message in Backup Exec said "a000821e - Library error - incompatible storage media detected in robotic library". I placed a backup from Thursday night in, which backed up fine, with the same error. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
