I run Windows XP SP2 and have created a virtual machine running Windows server 2003 SP2. My network has 4 servers running Windows server 2003 SP2 , one domain controller and three member servers. One of the members servers , my file server , runs Symantec Backup Exec 11 and is the media server , version 11.0 Revision 7170. I then installed the remote agent on the virtual server 2003 and try and recover data to a folder on this server. I have added a user , "backupexec11 " to the security tab of the folder on the virtual server and I keep getting access to remote agent denied. The user "backupexe11" is the logon management account on the file server. The virtual server 2003 and the file server reside in different domains and a two way foerst wide trust has been established between the two domains. I have read a few of the forums but with no joy.
