Advanced File Option should not be selected.

Can you deselect it and run a test backup ?

It's got something to do with the way that the Exchange DB is snapshotted during the process...

Hi there,

Create the job like you did, but make sure AOFO isn't selected. If you're backing up Exchange and data in the same job, and NEED to use AOFO, then consider splitting the jobs up.

If you don't know how to, follow the article below for some pointers...

Thanks!

...it's not selected under Tools --> Options & on your job itself?

Run an NTbackup in the meantime to clear your logs, just in case the Information Store dismounts!

I would again like to repeat my first comment on this post :

If you have installed SP1 of Exchange 2007, then try to take backups using Windows backup feature if its Win 2008 OS..... or try to backup the Information Store using NTBackup if its Win 2003 OS.

After these backups are completed check if the Exchange logs are cleared. If the logs are not cleared even after running the backups using NTbackup or Windows backup feature then there could be something wrong from the Exchange point of view which is not allowing the logs to be cleared.

Thanks,

-Sush...
