I did check http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/276639.htm and the user has always had administrator rights and I have recreated the device several times.

It seems to error out at random times. Is there a registry setting for timeouts or something I could set? Thanks for any help.

Hi Dennis,

Have you created Removable backup to disk folders?

It is always recommended that you should use Removable backup to disk folders to backup to USB drives.

Please refer to the following tech note on how to create Removable backup to disk folders.

http://support.veritas.com/docs/253764

Thanks.

> Have you created Removable backup to disk folders?

Yes. I had first created it as a removable backup and when it didn't work I then deleted it. I then recreated it again. Same error.

Thanks for your help.

1. The error "An error occurred while processing a B2D command" occurs if the folder has been deleted, moved, unshared or the mapped drive containing the Backup Folder has been disconnected.

2. This can also happen if the folder has become inaccessible for any other reason, for example if the disk is in a full state and is offline.

3. Confirm if the folder appears "Offline" and "Paused" on the Devices tab in Backup Exec.

4. To resolve the error, make the folder accessible once again.

5. Once the folder has been moved back, recreated or re-mapped, right click on the backup folder, deselect the "Paused" state on the menu.

6. If the job was queued in the Job monitor, it will then run as intended.
There is no need to resubmit the job.
