On my email server I am backing up Everything connects and backs up properly except the SQL part. it says
"failed to access server" authentication failed on connection to server"
I am using my administrator account for it to logon.
Like I said everything else backs up ok I get all the mailboxes and system state.
Thank you
Dave

Hi,

DO you have a remote SQL Server or SQL is running on the same Server where Backup Exec is running ?

Which SQL you are using ? SQL 7.0 or 2000 ?

Refer the technote given below :

How to confirm that Backup Exec has the sufficient rights to back up a SQL 7.0 database server.

Please paste the exact error message you are getting in Job log.

Thank you.
