duplicating images from tape to disk

Hello All,

I have problem with my exchange and i have bakup tape, then i want restore one of mailbox to pst. any one suggest me to 

duplicating images from tape to disk

after duplicate image, the restore to pst.

Pleas help me, how to duplicating images from tape to disk ?.

I user BE Exec 2012 and Exchange 2010

You have 2 options.

You can either add a "Duplicate" stage to your backup job.

Else, perform an ad-hoc duplication. Verbatim from admin guide ~

To duplicate backup sets
1 On the Backup and Restore tab or the Storage tab, double-click the server
or the storage device that is related to the backup sets that you want to
duplicate.
2 In the left pane, click Backup Sets.
3 Do one of the following:
¦ To duplicate a single backup set, right-click the backup set.
¦ To duplicate multiple backup sets, Shift + click or Ctrl + click the backup
sets, and then right-click one of the selected backup sets.
4 Select Duplicate.
5 Complete the options on the Duplicate Job dialog box.
See “Duplicate Job options” on page 221.
6 Click OK on the Duplicate Job dialog box.

I have one quetion again, why if i restore one mailbox to pst from tape backup in folder path restore always  empty. but the process restore is successfully 100 %

Try restoring from disk. If it results in empty .pst, then have a look at another post - https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/restore-individual-e-mails-pst-results-empty-pst-file
