I am running Backup Exec 11d.7170 and trying to backup my Exchange 2007 Information Stores. It worked a few times and now am getting this error. Nothing has changed in the environment and I have confirmed settings as per http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/289649.htm and http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/288777.htm and http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/286144.htm. We are going live with Exchange 2007 this Friday.

This technote refers to Exchange 2003, but check yours in case the issue is similar.

The BackupExec server is 32bit and the Exchange server is 64bit.

Bax,

You need to post details from the job log and such, AccessDenied is a very vague, and thus difficult, issue to troubleshoot.

Turn up your job log detail setting one nothc in Tools\Options so it gathers some extra detail and then post the part of the log showing the access denied.
