New install of 12.5 with all current patches. Media server is Win2k3 DC (this is a pre-deployment testbed environment) and Remote Agent (+OFO) on Win2k8 DC.
I've verified that the Backup Exec Agent Browser service is running. I've tried uninstalling Remote agent (which was initially push installed), rebooting and then install from local copy of RAWS32 folder. Remote agent is running as Local System. I've tried changing the service account auth on the media server from the domain administrator account to a newly-created Backup Exec account that is a member of the Domain Admins group.
Regardless of whether the Discover Resources job is used or a manual browse of the remote server resources (in the Backup Selection screen) is attempted I get Access Denied errors (with no correspoding Security Event log entry). Browsing through the \\servername\c$ share via explorer works without issue.
No AV regime is in place as yet in the test environment. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
