BEWS 11d rev6235 returns an error when trying to run a snapshot to the backup tape: e000fe1f -The device cannot be found. V-79-57344-65055 The snapshots are (or should be) taken from a disc cluster running BECPS 11d build 11.1.403.9801.
The device not found that BEWS refers to, is an Overland tape robot library with an HP LTO Ultrium3 disc drive in it.
This all sits on top of Windows2003 storage server which can see the hardware without any issues.
I've done a fairly intensive search of all the updates and hotfixes Symantec has to offer and cannot find anything that directly refers to fixing the issues between BE and the tape device, and all seraches on the internet for the above error, leave me wondering if such a patch even exists for my version of the BE software.
Anyone have a solution for this?
