I'm running BackUp exec 10.1 (10d) on Small Business Server 2003 Premium. After installing Update for Windows Server 2003 (KB923980) via WSUS, my backup's are failing with this error. When I click on the link, it goes to a page at Symantec stating the file can't be found.
The errors are:
Backup- WCTAOFO: Initialization failure on: "Shadow?Copy?Components". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
VSS Snapshot error. Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) cannot communicate with the writers. Check that the Volume Shadow Copy Service is started, and check the Windows Event Viewer for errors related to this service.
Backup- C: Directory C:\WINDOWS\SYSVOL\domain\DO_NOT_REMOVE_NtFrs_PreInstall_Directory was not found, or could not be accessed.
None of the files or subdirectories contained within will be backed up.
What can I/should I do to correct this problem?
