how to backup san storage

hi everyone

i have a problem.... we got a san storage but i dont know how to backup this storage. we have some server running windows server 2000/2003. vbe 9.1 with some agents (eg. sql or exchange). now the fileserver (all the data) is on the san, also the sql databases. now, what do i need to backup this stuff?

i have a server running windows server 2003 with vbe 9.1 with sql agent. what do i need to backup the server and the databases on the san? (on this server to a tape drive)

same by the fileserver - what do i need, when iam running a "backupserver" and want to backup all files on the san to tape over this server?

anyone help plz!

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

You need to follow the fuidelined mentioned below,

1. Install Remote agent on the server (eg. SQl or Exchange etc) only if they are on dofferent server other that Backup exec server.

2. Insert the serial number for agents on the Backup exec server.
