insert cleaning tape alerts?

Hi,

Does Backup Exec display an alert when it detects that the tape drive requires a cleaning tape? I have a Dell 122t LTO-2 tape drive and I'd like to know if it will simply show me the red cleaning light on the drive itself, or will BE also notify me when the cleaning tape needs to be inserted?

Hi Jeff,

BE wont show any alerts for tape cleaning. The red cleaning light will come on the drive itself when requiered.

We suggest you to clean the tape 1 or twice in 2 weeks.
