Why does some of my jobs fail with the error:

The job failed with the following error: A restore Job is already in progress. Rerun your job, after the current job has finished.

No Restore job is started ?!?

The issue may occur, if the database is corrupt. We suggest you to perform database repair. Please refer to the following technote:

Also, ensure that the device used for that particular job is not used by any other job.

Hello Ajit !

When I try to repair my database, I get the following messages:
Starting database repair.
Stopping Services
Stopping services for server:BACKUPSERVER1.
Server:BACKUPSERVER1, Service:BackupExecJobEngine stopped successfully or was not running.
Server:BACKUPSERVER1, Service:BackupExecRPCService stopped successfully or was not running.
Server:BACKUPSERVER1, Service:BackupExecDeviceMediaService stopped successfully or was not running.
Stopping services for server BACKUPSERVER1 completed.
Performing repair for BEDB database.
Error: The data repair operation failed.
Starting Services
Database repair for server BACKUPSERVER1 ended with errors.

How can I else repair my database ?

I Have now installed the version BackupExc 10-5520.

Are you trying to restore files on remote server?

We Would like to know whether you are trying to restore Lotus files?

Also what are the other files that you are trying to restore?

Have you tried to do repair database after upgrading to 10.0 5520?

I am not trying to restore!! I am trying to backup !!

I have also tried to repair my datavase after upgrading to 10.0.5520

Hello,

As asked in our previous reply are you backing up Lotus notes?

It has observer in most of th eloyus cases that, this error occurs if notes job is canceled and/or notes server is rebooted while job is cancelling, then the next time job is run it will error with:
..A restore job is already in progress..

Plesae update us on this issue.

I am also having this problem. And yes I am trying to backup Lotus Notes Domino and I have a Notes Cluster. So far, I have not a SINGLE backup of my Notes databases because of this problem. PLEASE FIX!!!!

I' am backup up a Server with Lotus Notes on it.

Hello,

check if the Remote Agent Service is running under Local System Account on both the servers (Backup and Lotus Notes).

Also please reboot the lotus notes server once and then try performing the backup job.

Please write to us if the issue persists.
