leaves out selected files

Backup Exec leaves out the most of the selected files without any error message. I should back up aprox 120GB data with ultrium2 (400GB LTO) but only 2-3 GB backed up succesfully to the tape.

What are some of the Extensions that are not backing up?

There are different extensions that I should backup.
It's a Win2k Server SP4 with 5.5 GB data on C:\, and about 120 GB on D:\. (nsf databases)
Backupexec copies only 2.6 GB from C:\ and only 1 GB from D:\. without any error message. no open file problems, no credential problems, no nothing.
With the same backup job from a remote server it runs correctly, all the 125.5 GB data from the two drives copied successfully.

Hmmm

Is the remote Media server the same version and Build as the problem machine?

Veritas did implement Automatic Excludes in v9. See http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/259152.htm

For the NSF files, unless you have AOFO or the Notes agent, they are probably considered "in Use", but I'd expect to see a note to that effect in the job log

That registry setting helped! Thanks a lot Ken!
