no selections exist for this resource

HI,

We are running windows 2003 server and backup exec 10. Our backups are taking place every night successfully but when you go to restore and select and entry, in the right hand pane we are getting "no selections exist for this resource"

I have tried renaming the catalogs directory and then inventorying and re-cataloging the media but this did not rectify things.

Anyone come across this before?

Any help would be much appreciated.

When you renamed the catalog directory, did you follow the instructions in this link? http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/272886.htm

If that didn't work, maybe upgrading to latest revision 5629(10d) will help.

I tried this but the Catalogs folder is not recreated automatically after renaming it and restarting backup exec.

I tried stopping the services, renaming the Catalogs folder, and recreating it manually and then restarting backup exec.

I then ran an inventory and cataloged the tapes but its is still the same.

Any ideas?

As Christian has suggested, upgrade to v10.1 (10d), this has rectified this issue for a few people.
