restore ad on a dc

dear be-gurus,
after a hd-crash my ntds.dis is corrupt. i have already replaced the disks and now i'd like to restore the ad / system state / windows folders etc. the crashed dc (w2k3) is the only server in my domain. how do i savely recover this system. i have a backup (backup exec v10) including systemstate and data before the error occured. please check my approach:

1. install a new w2k3 server from scratch without ad
2. install backup exec
3. restore form backup media (in normal mode ?)
