selection list slow to browse

Hello,
I am running Backup Exec v10.1d on Windows Server 2003. I have one site with less than 30 computers. All are windows xp sp2 with firewall turned off. Some pc's have the backup agent installed and those pc's are in the backup set.

When I browse the selection list it is very slow to enumerate the list of computers on the network for my local domain. Why is this?

I have WINS running and all pc's pointed to my internal windows 2003 dns servers. I have no other problems with the product or my clients. In windows I can browse the lists very fast with no delay.

Hi Tony,

There is nothing we can change in Bacup Exec to make the selection list browse faster.

It is the problem WINS..Name Resolution. Please make sure that it is working fine.
