Did you mean:

sql transaction logs - Truncation

This is probable a very easy question however I am going to ask it anyway!

My databases are set to simple (not full).  I have SQL 2000 and SQL 2005. When I do a full back up does it truncate my transaction logs automatically?  If not, can I set my full to truncate my transaction log or do I have to run a backup of the Transaction log with the truncate option?

If your databases are in simple logging mode, then your transaction logs won't be growing.
If your databases were set to full logging mode, then you'd need to do a full backup and a transaction log backup to truncate the logs.
